Of Rohnert Park, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2013 surrounded by family. Born in Petaluma, CA on March 23, 1925 to Antonio and Rosa Machado. Tony's youth was spent on the family ranch at Muir Beach. He retired after 25+ years as a Road Foreman for the County of Marin Public Works. Not yet ready for full retirement he started Coast Sanitary, which he worked for years before selling the business. He was a member of the I.D.E.S.S.I. Society of Sausalito. He enjoyed his golden years fishing, making wine and blackberry jam, and playing a mean game of cards. Tony was the caring father to James Machado, Janice Hopper, Judy Machado, and Jeanette Balas, Loving grandfather "PaPa Tony" to Victoria McDermott, Brandon McDermott, and Nicole Balas, He is also survived by his sister Ida Mendonca and her husband Joe, and daughter-in-law Carla Machado, as well as his extended loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Mary Brazil and Hilda Carlton. Visitation will be Monday, March 11, at ADOBE CREEK FUNERAL HOME, 331 Lakeville St., Petaluma, CA 94952 from 10:00-12:00 p.m. Graveside Service will follow at Mt.
