When Tony arrived at Minehead to be a Redcoat for the 1969 season his enthusiasm was obvious. As compere part of my duties was to produce the Redcoat Show and he quickly became a vital part of it. One day the putting green flooded. It was his day off but he donned his uniform and joined me in a round watched by a crowd of amused campers in the pouring rain.
