Not sure what to say?

Wow! I am blowing away to learn of Toney's passing. I first met Toney in 1960 we both played on the Hanau Hawks Baseball team, Football and Basketball team in Hanau Germany. We were Champions he was a good friend it is my prayer he is now playing for the "Super Coach on the Super Team". May you rest in peace Toney your friend Robert Cleveland.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I attended Jordan High School with Tony. He was an outstanding pitcher and a great friend. God bless you.

Life lessons taught and memories made that will never be forgotten. Tony loved everyone, not just the boys. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers.

Our family was saddened to hear about Coach Tony's passing. He coached both my boys in baseball and they really admired him and respected him. What a legacy he has left behind and what a true honor to have known him and watched him coach. Now he is coaching in Heaven and he will be truly missed. Prayers Being sent your way. Love, Pam, Jeff, Tyler, Chelsea and Jamie Crowder

To the family and friends, I'm so sorry to hear of Tony's passing. I will keep good thoughts for you during this trying time.
I was a sophomore at Central when I first saw Tony pitch. That curve ball to a left handed batter was scary to see. I saw him pitch on TV one Saturday when he was at KC. Still throwing that curve to lefties.
From the comments I've read it sounds like he was as good a man and coach as he was a baseball player.
Thanks for the memories, Tony.

Susan and family-
Tony was a wonderful man and a mentor to so many. Take comfort in the fact that he left a positive, lasting impact and his legacy will live on. He was a good friend.

Growing up during the early Morningside years I had the opportunity to know Tony and was always impressed with his baseball abilities. Knew he would go far in the sport. I am very sorry to hear of his passing..wish I could have stayed in touch, sounds like he grew into a "true" champ.
