I share the same sentiments as my brother, Perry. Sgt. Thaxton was a great person and a wonderful father figure. We will always share the secret of how he save me with a mere five dollar bill. We will always love and miss him. Mrs. Thaxton and Family, we all share in your lose and Heaven's Gain.

Sgt. Thaxton was a great neighbor, great friend and a second father to many of us growing up in Terrace Manor. He helped me with many of my Boy Scout projects and would always offer me a ride when he saw me walking home from the store, barber shop, recreation center, or any other area that was a distance from my home.
