Dear Sherry,
I just opened my Footprinter’s March newsletter. I feel so foolish as I have been so detached. I wasn’t even aware Tony was sick let alone had passed away. Tony was the best and you two together were even better. You have my deepest compassion for your loss and best wishes for a future, as Tony would want for you.

Sherry,
what a shock when I (just today) saw the billboard on 5th South. I was very surprised and saddened for you. It has been less than a year since Jim died, and I still read his obituary pages weekly. You will find that these thoughts from friends and family will bring a smile to your face with fond memories of Tony.
I read Gloria Russo's comments and it wouldn't surprise me that my Jim may be hanging out with Ben and Tony! I would love to talk to you sometime. Don't hesitate to...

Dear Tony, Sherry and Kids
This family holds a huge chunk of my heart and always will. Ben and Tony were just like 2 peas in a pod and they enjoyed each other so much. They are back together and I'm not sure that Heaven was ready, but they are there and keeping watch over us.
Tony was always there for me and was truly the best friend and kindest person I know. Sherry and Kids, I know what you are feeling and my prayers are with you. We will do what honors Tony and keep his...

Sherry and Family,
My name is David Roth and I met you briefly at Tara's and Kenny's wedding. I am Kenny's younger brother. I wanted you to know that since we heard of Tony's condition he and you have been in our prayers. I did not get the pleasure of spending much time with Tony, but I remember the look in his eye and as they say, one's eyes are a window into the heart. He seemed like an incredibly sincere man and obviously a man that was not too proud to earn a days work. The last...

Dear Sherry,
My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family. I found Tony's on-line obituary this morning and wished it wasn't true.
Although I didn't get to know you and Tony as I had hoped, I will never forget our fun reunion at Denny's almost 10 years ago when you met my daughter Camille and her children. How time flies! I will never forget the kindness you and Tony gave to my daughter. And I will never forget Tony's humor--a wonderful Vina trait.
You and...

Hi Sherry
You and Tony have always been nice to me and I'm sorry for your loss. Here's a story about Tony for you. I was talking to Ben Russo about his war experiences and Tony walked up and said "Is he telling you about his WWII stories? Did he tell you he was fighting for our side?" Both Ben and I stopped talking, Ben, looking straight faced, stared at the ground and Tony, completely serious, continued. "Ben was an Italian soldier fighting for the Germans and we captured him!" This...

Tony Vina was one of the most vibrant dads I have ever met. Growing up as a friend to Rhett, i had the pleasure of interacting with Tony. I was envious of his playful relationship with Rhett, and watching them interact as friends, as well as father and son encouraged me to nurture a similar relationship with my father. My strongest sympathies to Sherry and the rest of the family. Such a great man will inevitably be missed.
