Not sure what to say?

Our hearts are sad at the loss of such a fine man. I owe Tony much thanks for helping with my genealogy research of our Scott family. He shared so many wonderful photos and a video. It is a shame we waited so late in our lives to meet. We will miss our cousin.

Just heard of Tony's passing at the SE USSVI conference. He was a great guy and I feel privileged to have known him.

Good man that I had the privilege of knowing for 40 years!

I had the privilige of knowing Tony at Hueytown HS and have many fond memories of our friendship. He was a wonderful person and always had a smile on his face. He was a great friend to so many. I am so thankful & appreciative of all the hard work he did to make our reunion possible. It gave me a chance to reconnect with him and many others I hadn't seen since graduating as I moved to Louisiana right out of high school. I was able to tell him how much I enjoyed his friendship and the great...

On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans (On USSVI), we offer our sincere condolences to daughter, Lisa Mockapetris (Joe); son, David Haug (Joleen) and all of the Williams family and friends in your loss and sorrow. May God whisper peace into your hearts and comfort and heal them. We are grateful for Tony's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service. To our Brother of the Dolphin "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved...

TD, you always made life at sea better with your good humor, jokes and constant smiles. I can't think of a USS Ray shipmate more universally loved than you brother. At the 2005 reunion you were one of the guys who hadn't changed a bit - the everpresent smile and positive energy. Much love to you shipmate - you will be missed always!

Tony was one of the people I met when I arrived on the RAY in '75. A finer friend and shipmate you could never find. The world is a sadder place without TD, but heaven welcomes him aboard.

Tony I was proud to have served with you on the USS Ray SSN-653. To the family our sincere condolences on your loss. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to join "TD", Don Tucker and Steve Howell in visiting the Submarine Memorials at Patriots Point during the November 2014 Ray reunion. As we reflected on the passing of fellow Submariners little did I realize we would lose a great shipmate so soon after this reflection. Tony's passing is now the beginning of no suffering and pain. I am...

I am deeply saddened by the passing of our submarine brother. He reported to the Ray 3 years after I left her, but I met him at the crew's reunions he organized and had the greatest respect for him. My condolences to his family.
