Not sure what to say?

Martha I know how hard this is for you and your Family, but with the help of GOD, our FATHER, you will get thru this. If I can be of any help, call on me.

I am so deeply saddened by the news of Tonya's death. She will be greatly missed. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Tonya a very long time ago through my brother, William, and I am very saddened to learn of Tonya's death. Although I did not keep in touch with her through the years, I remember her love for basketball as well as her love of being a referee. I also recall a memory of Tonya mentioning to me that she wanted to aspire to become the first black female professional referee (this of course was before the WNBA). As the years went by after this conversation, I often wondered and would check...

In times like this, I can only say that my prayers are with the family. I knew Tonya through my son, William. I will always remember her smile. I will miss you as my facebook friend. God be with the family during this time of sorrow. LaVernis Steen

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Tonya. I worked with Tonya for a short while at the NIH...(Ms. Ref). Peace and blessings Tonya and to the rest of the Staley family.

Tonya was a very sweet lady, full of life and stubborn at times, but always someone who showed her care and compassion for others. Though I knew her only for the last few years, I thought she was a very kind and loving lady who will be truly missed. May God Comfort the Family and Loved Ones. Rest in Peace Sista Tonya!

I am still saddened and shocked by your early departure from us. Thanks for being dedicated to the advancement of Women's Basketball and for all of your many contributions to the DC, MD, and VA area. We will truly miss your passion for the sport and your smiling face....RIP Tonya!

Tonya will be truly missed. She loved to laugh and I will always remember her radiant smile. May the family find comfort in knowing that she is at peace.

To the Staley family. May God continue to strengthen you in this hour of bereavement. Know Tonya will be truly missed but God picked his flower and brought her back home.
