Not sure what to say?

Torello and Page were my first landlords on School Street in Chicago in 1972. We rented the carriage house behind their three flat for three years. They were wonderful to us and I have great memories of their bull terrier who could almost jump over the 5 foot fence. So sorry to hear of his passing, but it sounds like he had an amazing life. My prayers and love are with Page and the family.

I was saddened to hear of Mr. Tacchi’s passing. Thoughts and prayers are with you Mrs. Tacchi, as well as Elizabeth, Torello and the rest of the family in this difficult time. It’s been many years, but he was a very nice man, and I’ll always remember him taking me for a ride in his plane, fueling a lifelong interest in the physics and history of flight. He was certainly a talented craftsman. I remember peeking in the window of his workshop years ago at the plane he was building and being...

My sincerest condolences to Elizabeth, Torello and Page. I have nothing but the fondest memories of Torello. My one word description of him would be passionate - he loved his hobbies, he welcomed people with excitement and he was a fierce husband and dad. I used to love that barber chair in his office! Your home was always fun and warm and special and I know Torello was such a huge part of that. He set such a wonderful example - one that I'm remembering today. Much love to you all.

Torello was quite a guy. Airplanes, motorcycles and family. These last years were tough. He was a good friend for half a century.

In as much as we did not talk often, but when we did, it was always a very long conversation. Torello was his own man, no pretense, basically "what you see is what you get". He was a very intelligent, creative and hard working. He was always someone you could count on. I remember, when I had to purchase a car, he went with me and because I had a very tight budget, I got a car with a stick shift. I did not know how to drive a stick shift. He spend several evening in a deserted parking lot...

I wrote a poem for my dads 60th birthday that my mother reminded me of yesterday. Since Jesus took him home on exactly his 80 1/2 birthday, I thought it was fitting to send him off with one more tribute. I miss you Papa, and I love you.

My father,
My father,
What can I say?
My world has changed forever
Since you went away.
Your life was so full,
Your words so wise,
Nothing you enjoyed more
Than flying those bright blue skies.
The...

Torello, you were larger than life. I only wish I'd met you sooner. We always had fun and "spirited" talks at Hilliard airpark. You will be missed. My condolences to your family. Tailwinds and following seas my friend.

To my former co-worker, Torello "Jr.", and the Tacchi family - I'm so sorry for your loss. I've experienced the loss of a loved one during the pandemic, and it seems so anticlimactic pending an actual memorial service.
May you all have and share terrific memories of a very accomplished and talented family man.

Sincere condolences to Torellos family and friends. Torello was a very interesting and nice man. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
