I cannot express the luck I feel in being able to grow up witnessing the powerful example of love and caring that my grandparents have for each other. What a gift.

At the end when all was over the love and compassion my family showed in dealing with this loss was very healing. The tears fell and the stories flowed. There were a few toasts to Smaen... finding our way through this has definitely required some help from alcohol.
