Not sure what to say?

Dear Margaret, Alice Chandler let me know about Townsend. We shared wonderful times at King Ridge and as you may recall purchased many a painting. I now live in Virginia and the Bradford Barn and the limited palate of the tree at Springledge Farm adorn our living room wall. My deepest sympathy. Richard Rodgers

Margaret:

How proud you must be of your sons and grandchildren! We are fortunate to have Townsend's art all around us, but his real work of art is the way he parented your sons. I don't think any father could wish for a better honor than the memories and lessons that were shared at the memorial service.

Dear Margaret,
We're so glad that we joined you and Townsend and your wonderful family and friends in celebrating your 50th wedding anniversary four short years ago. We have one of Townsend's paintings of your garden on our living room wall as a constant reminder of both of you. I'm sure your family and friends are a strong source of support for you.
Much love,

Dear Maggie and Family,
Andy and I were sorry to hear of Townsend's passing. We know that his life has left the world a more beautiful place.

To Margaret and boys - I only got to know Townsend briefy through Elaine and a couple of short personal visits, but I feel like he has been a part of the family because of the special place he held in Elaine's heart - God bless you all as you go through this time of loss and rememberance - my deepest sympathy to you all

To my "other family"; My love and prayers are with you and your families. Margaret, you and Townsend have a special place in my heart always. I have wonderful memories as well as my portrait, painted so many years ago (that I see every day). I wish I could have seen him again, but know he is around, just in another form. Take care of your hearts and each other. Hugs and love, Elaine

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
