What a sweet woman. As a young lad, I remember her awesome smile.
Aunt Townsend put up with us Curtis boys for a long time. It's so sad to now here that Mickey has since passed. Skeeter & Blackie my thoughts are with you guys. Miss you guys.

T. J. and Ann just wanted you to know that our prayers are with you and your family.
Always remember the ones we love are never gone, for they will always be in our hearts.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. My mother, Myrtis Porter Daigre and Aunt Mickey (Mamie Jo Porter) spoke of her often. I also remember her from the family reunions. Having lost Mother (Myrtis) a little over a year ago I can really understand your sorrow. You all will be in my prayers. Linda Daigre Love

T. J., Ann and Family, our prayers are with you all during these sad and difficult days. You are in our thoughts as you bury your Mom. God bless all of you.

One of the best things you can note about a person is the character of their descendants. I never got to meet Townsend but knowing Blackie and his family and their love and respect for her makes it obvious that she was a strong and loving woman. My granddaughters Chelsea and Shaley got to go on Christmas trips to her house a couple of times and loved the time they had with the family. I know she will be greatly missed but will be alive in the hearts of all who love her.

To the Speir family-our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Maw-maw Townsend was a dear sweet lady.

Mickey and family so sorry to hear of your loss while we are in Texas visiting family. Though I'll miss the service our prayers and thoughts are with you during this time of grief. May the peace that passes all understanding that only God can provide comfort your family during the days ahead. David & Pam Raymond

I'm lighting a candle in honor of your beloved MOTHER, Mickey, Blackey and Skeeter. May God bless and guide yall thru this painful time as you lay your sweet mother to rest: Keeping yall in our hearts and prayers at this time.

Skeeter, Blackie, and Mickey, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. What a great time we had when we played baseball for your Dad.
