Traci Knudson-Hiatt Obituary - Death Notice and Service Information

This is the one-year anniversary of when Traci Allynn Knudson-Hiatt age 54 passed away on February 24, 2025, in Orlando, Florida from a catastrophic cardiac event. She was the beloved daughter of the late Jack W. Knudson and Barbara A. Knudson. Dearest mother of Britani A. Hiatt (Brett Hrin) and Kendall A. Hakes (Kyle). Loving grandmother of Aurelia & Cordelia Hiatt-Hrin and Owen, Alice and Ivan Hakes. Beloved sister of Janus A. Kurzmann and Keith A. Knudson (Charlene Ende) and aunt of many nieces and nephews. Traci graduated from Charles F. Brush High School of Cosmetology in South Euclid, Ohio where she made many friends whom she kept in contact throughout the years. Traci spent many years as a hair stylist until she found her calling working with children in daycare and school facilities. The sudden loss of Traci was felt by many including the "at-risk" children she worked with in the Orlando area. Traci had a gift of compassion, communication and caring for children who suffered from difficult mental and environmental challenges. Her "gift" and dedication to her passion of working with children can not be put into words and staff and colleagues deeply miss her. Traci too always supported animal rescues and shelters including adopting several rescues during her time in Indiana and Florida. Even after her passing Traci continued her giving ways as she was a registered organ donor. Many people and children are now benefiting from her selfless gift. To date the family has received two thank you letters from Japan where recipients received her corneas and the gift of sight. The family deeply misses her every day yet takes solace in seeing so much of her in her two beautiful daughters who are following in her footsteps of being caring, compassionate and resilient women. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Traci to the A.S.P.C.A. or local animal shelter. After her passing, a celebration of life was held at Attain Inc. an intake facility for at risk children which is a unit of U.C. F. in Orlando, Florida.
