Not sure what to say?

I´ve never met Mr. Poe in person but my stepfather Charlie McLaughlin knew him well & used to play golf & gin rummy with Mr. Poe. He sure died young.

Pody was the first person who taught me how to show respect, and patients. especally on the golf course. my mom and i sure do miss him and he will always be in our hearts.

Pody & I were neighbors in grade school (Jefferson now the Gold Domed Bank) went the same Jr High and Sr High (Harding & Classen) we were neighbors again in 1976. We lived on Elmhurst & "Pody" & his family lived a block north. Last time I saw him was when I walked his "lost" little girl home, she must be in her mid-thirties now. CFM

Pody Poe was one of the brightest minds you had ever met . In high school he was known as a math wizard . Not many people remember this about him . God speed Tracy

This is belated but I had just found this area on the site. I always had great respect for Pody and am saddened by his passing all of the good and positive things that have been said and written about him are very accurate and true. He is missed.

One day my friend asked me to go with him;
He wanted me to meet someone very close to him.

We got in his car and started to go;
He said I'm taking you to meet Pody Poe.

As we drove along that faithful day.
I thought to myself, what I might say.

We got to his house and were invited in.
My friend Bob said "Hi Pop how have you been?"

Pody was watching golf on TV cigar in hand.
I said, "You've lived bigger than life, the best in the land."
