I knew Dr. Berry as Brother Berry while he was pastor of First Baptist Church of Plano and I was a child and youth. He was a remarkable man, a great mentor, and a friend. He, together with James Fineout (our minister if music at the church) managed unbelievably at the end of the 1960's to lead me to faith in the Lord Jesus. What a wonderful man and minister Travis Berry was. He always came to our youth gatherings on Sunday evenings and he played many spirited ping pong games with us at Heights First Baptist in Houston. He performed mine and Bill's wedding ceremony in 1956. He will definitely be missed!

He was a wonderful pastor at Heights First Baptist Church in Houston in the 50s.
