Troy!
Troy! Roach!! I ran across this site after I found this picture in some old band stuff. I played bass with Johnny, Troy, and Ralph in the Plague at the beginning. What a great man. Fun, musical. Always made me laugh. Rock on my brother!

What a beautiful man Troy was. I've known Troy since Kindergarten at "Ole Thorpe Grammer School" all the way through 8th grade. He had such a kind heart. Was always kind. I will miss you my Friend.
In Peace.... John A. Gumushian

I am saddened by this story of a man who had so much love for life and his family. There is no doubt he had many great friends.

My deepest sympathies to the Coates family. I signed Roach to his first record deal with Lungbrush. I always thought he was the best frontman to come out of Chicago. I lost my brother to a rare form of cancer at a young age, and know how difficult it is. You are truly in my thoughts during this difficult time. Rest In Peace Roach.

It's probably been about 10 years since I last saw Troy but he is impossible to forget. I worked at Rolling Stones Records and he would come in from time to time to promote Lungbrush and we'd always spend a great deal of time talking music or whatever else came to mind. He was a great guy and once I heard of his passing my heart sank. Many bands came in to promote themselves but none of them left an impression like Troy did. You will be greatly missed. My sincerest sympathies go out to his...
