Troy! Roach!! I ran across this site after I found this picture in some old band stuff. I played bass with Johnny, Troy, and Ralph in the Plague at the beginning. What a great man. Fun, musical. Always made me laugh. Rock on my brother!

What a beautiful man Troy was. I've known Troy since Kindergarten at "Ole Thorpe Grammer School" all the way through 8th grade. He had such a kind heart. Was always kind. I will miss you my Friend.

I am saddened by this story of a man who had so much love for life and his family. There is no doubt he had many great friends.

I met Roach thru my friend Nikki when they worked at Wasburn. I have fond memories of the Man, the Myth, the LEGEND! He was an awesome guy who could always put a smile on your face. I bet he is in Heaven jammin out with Dimebag right now! My condolences to the Coates family. Much love & respect...

My deepest sympathies to the Coates family. I signed Roach to his first record deal with Lungbrush. I always thought he was the best frontman to come out of Chicago. I lost my brother to a rare form of cancer at a young age, and know how difficult it is. You are truly in my thoughts during this difficult time. Rest In Peace Roach.

It's probably been about 10 years since I last saw Troy but he is impossible to forget. I worked at Rolling Stones Records and he would come in from time to time to promote Lungbrush and we'd always spend a great deal of time talking music or whatever else came to mind. He was a great guy and once I heard of his passing my heart sank. Many bands came in to promote themselves but none of them left an impression like Troy did. You will be greatly missed.
