I am just now learning about Troy's passing (Sept 2021). I had been visiting Michigan last week for the first time in a decade and was retelling old stories with friends in Brooklyn when Troy's name came up. I was and am so saddened to hear he has passed away. I was very involved in Troy's life in 1987, 88, and 89. I knew Troy when I worked at LA|Fitness when I was 18 years old. He was the Personal Trainer Director there and took me in as if I was his son he never had. I learned a great deal about physical fitness, leadership and God. Every morning we would voluntarily gather with one or two other employees and read a passage from the bible. Troy brought me into his home and introduced me to his friends. He worked hard every day. He was respectful, kind and most of all a truly great friend. The last few...

Troy was a good man and my son looked up to him like Troy was a God.
Troy was hard working and had a kind heart.
Troy was always there to lend advice and a helping hand.
He is missed, loved, and he never will be forgotten.

I think about you a lot big man, I will never forget the good times we had at the gym and around downtown a2, will never forget you brotha.
