My best friend Greg Cleckner and I worshipped that 1980 team that won the championship. His older brother Chuck was on that team and we went to all the games including the championship games. They were a great bunch to us and Troy was the leader. Those memories are some of my favorites from elementary school, and the world will miss a great guy like Troy.

Dear Carolyn,
My deepest sympathy goes to you and your family for the recent loss of one of the greatest student and athlete in STHS history. I will NEVER forget that day in 9th grade when this 'tiny' student came to me and said "I am Troy Keys and the next Dr. J". I never realized that his talents would later take us to a state basketball championship. As the scorekeeper, it was one of my greatest moments in sports and I thought of Troy alot since then. Many will miss him and May God...

With my deepest sympathy and condolences to all of Troys family and friends. I was saddened to learn of Troys passing. I remember when I first moved to this country and went to Susquahanna High, the fun we had on and off the court. Troy had this way of always making you feel welcomed, that big smile and those crazy jokes..Him and Brian always pulling pranks...it was classic. I will miss him!

I wish to offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Keys family for your loss. Troy was an excellent role model during our time at Susquehanna, particularly on the basketball court. He was an inspiration both in skill and in character. Although his passing is a great loss to us all, please know that this was part of God's plan and that His plans are always just and good. Take comfort in Him and to Him be the glory.
Take great care and God bless.

My family shares in your grief and Hope that every letter or condolence that you receive, will help make things easier. I remember Troy as one of the boys, that my son introduced me to while they were playing football. I always thought of him as a nice young man who gave a lot to the other people in his life. He also was a leader in my younger sons life, while he was in middle school. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you and may the days bring you peace and remembrance of a fine...
