He was my Uncle and a fellow Infantryman! Unless you've earned the Blue Cord you wouldn't understand. He had a Combat Infantymans belt buckle with 2 stars he'd wear and he'd push his belly back an rock it at me an say "you got one of these Boy!" I'd always tell him hell no an I don't want to have to earn one like he did either, He'd just chuckle at me then! I'll always Love an Respect that man, he saw and experienced stuff that the rest of us will only read about!!!
