Trudy was like a butterfly who made me, ordinary clover, feel aristocratic. She had dignity, class, and grace but most of all she was respected....not easy in the 1970's newsroom for a woman, let alone an African American woman.

I thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to be able to sit at Ms Trudy's feet & learn from her, her stories & how she lived life which was to the FULLEST!!!
Her Life showed me how to be a lady, how to be humble, how to be a business woman, how to be wife & how to Trust God!!!
Trudy is near & dear to my heart ❤.

I had the honor of serving as her 1991 summer intern. What a blessing! I got the opportunity to meet many celebrities and wonderful people but the best part of that summer was learning at the feet of one of the best in tbe business.
