Trudy Alarcon Melancon

Trudy Alarcon Melancon, age 74, passed away in Covington, La. on Friday, August 30, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Ann Alarcon; her husband, Kirk Paul Melancon; her brother, Terry Alarcon; and her nephew, Joseph Alarcon. Trudy is survived by her daughter, Stacey DiFranco (Henry); her son, Travis Aime (Chantelle); her five grandsons, Joseph, Joel, and Jude DiFranco and Brantley and Brendyn Aime; her aunt, Judy Quentin; and her nephew, Joshua Alarcon. Trudy was born in New Orleans on October 7, 1949, and was a graduate of Dominican High School, class of 1968. She retired from the Kenner Police Department. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 10:00AM. The interment will follow the Mass at St. Louis Cemetery No. III.
