You truly impacted my life, as a teacher and a friend. Thank you for always being so encouraging and kind to me. You will be missed greatly.

Such a great lady. So sorry to hear this sad news. It was an honor to be trusted with the care of Whitney and J.P. In their pre-school years. Trudy you will be missed. My condolences to her whole family.

We were blessed to have a teacher, who cared for us like family, and who cultivated an environment for learning where kindness and respect was as important as passing a written test. Mrs. Powers left an indelible mark on generations of students and we are all better people for having passed through her classroom.

Just one of the thousands of students of Mrs. Powers had taught. I remember her always encouraging me to read, read, read. It's an honor to have learned under her wing. Teach all those children up there your love for education!
