Our beloved father Tsukasa Nakano passed away on Tuesday morning the 12th of January 2021. Tsukasa was born May 21, 1930 in Honolulu, HI. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nicole Nakano and his parents Akitaro and Haruno Nakano. He is survived by his two sons, Colin Nakano and Damon Nakano, his grandson Devon Nakano and his sisters Fujiko Shiraishi and Nancy Nakagama. Tsukasa graduated from McKinley High School in Honolulu and studied accounting in College before joining the United States Army. He served for 21 years and retired as a SGT First Class. He served in the Vietnam War and was stationed abroad for many other years. Tsukasa settled permanently in Northern CA while in the Service and lived in San Rafael with his family for many years before moving to Rohnert Park in 1986. After serving in the Army he worked for the General Services Administration for almost another 20 years. Tsukasa was a hard-working down-to-earth man and a dedicated patriot. He always put the needs of his family before his own. He was a sports fan and enjoyed the Bay Area football and baseball teams. He enjoyed having many pet dogs and cats. In retirement Tsukasa enjoyed traveling with his wife to Europe, Mexico and the Middle East. He will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park in Sebastopol, CA.
