I am deeply saddened by the recent knowledge of Twila's passing. My sincere condolences to her closest friends and sister Lori. Twila and I worked together for many years at KP. We shared many experiences about the very different lifestyles we lived which I believe provided a pleasant diversion from the chronic caregiver role devoted to David. During our working years and shortly after her retirement we would chat on the phone, laugh about the antics of our pets, meet for lunch or walk...

I meet Twila in 1978 when I moved to CO from Texas. We worked at the same hospital(Porter Memorial Hospital) as RN on the same floor. She helped me get thur a very difficult time in my life. We loved nursing and loved living in CO. She always felt like a sister to me. I would have done anything for her. It has been hard to hear of her passing and know David and her are together again. Just found out about the death of Twila. She and I would escape to the mountains to hike or drive whenever we had the chance. I met her when she was a floor nurse at Porter Memorial Hospital and I was a unit secretary at that time. She was extremely dedicated to the care of all and always stood up to question if she thought a person was not receiving the best care possible. We have kept in contact through the years and I will miss her descriptions of the happenings of the wildlife around...
