Tyler Highfield Obituary
May 14, 1991 - July 24, 2024
Boca Raton, Florida - Tyler Grant Highfield passed away July 24, 2024.
Tyler grew up in Charlotte NC, where he graduated from Charlotte Christian School. Tyler made lifelong relationships throughout his life in Charlotte. After high school, Tyler attended the University of Alabama where he earned his degree in finance in 2015. Tyler was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and enjoyed college life with a great group of friends. After college, Tyler worked for Quicken Loans and Wells Fargo.
Tyler will be remembered for his sense of humor. His greatest joy in life was to make others laugh. He was known for his infectious smile that lit up a room. Tyler also was a foodie and enjoyed exploring different restaurants with his friends and family. He was a huge dog lover and TV buff. He never lost his love of fishing.
He was loved unconditionally by his family.
Tyler is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Carolyn Highfield and Joe and Anna Spear. Tyler is survived by his parents, Tod and Kim Highfield, a brother, Cort, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
For the past several years, Tyler battled with substance dependence and mental health issues. He fought valiantly until the very end. Tyler's sole cause of death was acute mitragynine toxicity. Mitiagynine is an herbal supplement otherwise known as Kratom. Kratom is legally purchased through retail outlets in Florida.
He will not be forgotten by the many people that provided him with support and friendship.
A private family service was held in Indianapolis, Indiana where he is interred in a family plot at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 W 38th St, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46208.
