I loved reading these tributes . I am one of Ty’s stepchildren. Ty’s quick wit humor mentioned worked great at the family functions. His Thanksgiving, Christmas Dinner toasts were unmatched (Uncle Steve’s did come close). Ty taught me valuable life lessons of which I am truly grateful for. What I loved most about Ty is his care for others and animals, he helped so many people and animals along the way. His true joy was seeing others have a better life. He loved my mom. Ty you are missed!

I was so sad to see the post for Tyler. I worked with him at Cleveland Sight Center. He was very friendly and kind to everyone. I send my condolences to the family.

Tyler was always very interested in how I was doing in my life or my work and wanted me to do well. He was very kind and fun and was a friend to many. It was always nice seeing him and Lucy at the Cleveland Clinic. I know that he'll always be checking in when we see a cardinal around...visitors from heaven. I am so sorry for your loss.

I volunteered with Tyler at Rescue Village. We were part of the Saturday morning dog walking/training shift that worked together many years. Tyler was such a joy to be around. I have a lot of great memories of those Saturdays. Condolences to Betsy and his family.

I was very saddened to see Ty's death notice in the newspaper. Try and I worked together at the Cleveland Sight Center. He was an extremely nice, bright, hardworking gentleman dedicated to providing high quality services to visually impaired and blind persons. Ty had a very dry sense of humor appreciated by clients and staff alike. Unfortunately Ty and I lost contact with each other when we both moved on to new careers. My deepest sympathy to Ty's wife Betsy and Family. Rest in Eternal...

Tyler was a regular customer of mine at Heinens and was always cracking jokes with me and a few other coworkers. I kept my Christmas tree up one year everyday and he would ask me if it was still up and I would tell him it was and we´d laugh. And when he first told me his name he said he was one of the Presidents and so I´d call Him Mr President sometimes incredibly sorry for your loss he will be forever missed by us.

While we were classmates at DePauw University, we never really connected until years later while members of the DePauw Alumni Board. We were often referred to as the ` Cleveland connection´ on the Board! It was then that I got to know him with that keen sense of humor and insightful commentary. He came across as a truly sincere person and I enjoyed becoming his friend. He was very proud of his son and daughter and their successful careers. He spoke highly of Betsy and her tremendous artistic...

Our friendship goes back to high school days at Orange. Ty was one of the genuinely good guys who always provided his perception and understanding of a situation with quick wit and humor. He loved Betsy, his family, his dogs and his Indians in that order. His candle may have gone out, but Ty´s legacy remains rapped in humor and wit.... Bob & Tami
