Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home - Nappanee Obituary

Tyler William Tusing, age 24, formerly of Nappanee, IN, passed away unexpectedly at 10:25 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024.  He was born on March 5, 1999 in Mishawaka, IN to Mark Tusing and Julie McGowen.  Tyler was raised by his mother following the help of his loving grandparents Sharon and Steve Tusing.  He lived his entire life in the Nappanee area and loved being outdoors in the surrounding lakes and rivers.  He was an avid fisherman and was at peace on the water.  He especially loved fishing on Cass Lake.


Tyler is survived by two children: Leann and Remington Tusing; mother, Julie McGowen of Lakeville; father, Mark Tusing of Middlebury, IN; paternal grandparents: Steve & Sharon Tusing of Middlebury; Uncles: Jimmy McGowen of Nappanee, Jerry McGowen of Bremen, IN, Eddie Randolph of Mishawaka, IN, Jamie Randolph of Mishawaka, and Scott Tusing of Nappanee; Aunts: Donna McGowen and Kim Tusing of Nappanee; and cousin Lindsay Louderback, along with many others, including godmother, Lorri Roush.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Eula Schieber-Randolf.


 A 2-hour visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.  Per Tyler’s wishes, cremation will then take place.  Memorial contributions in Tyler’s name can be given to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
