BLOCKER, Tyrone, 57, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord January 30, 2013. He was predeceased by two brothers, Nathaniel, Johnnie, and foster brother, Michael Sims. Tyrone was a devoted coach and mentor to many youths of the Ashland and Chamberlayne Metro Football League for many years. Left to cherish his memory are three devoted friends, Markham Cash, Nathan Fairley and Herman Oxedine; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the F.E. Dabney Funeral Home, Ashland. Homegoing services will be Thursday, February 7, 1 p.m. at the Providence Baptist Church, Ashland. Rev. Lawrence Samuels, pastor, officiating. Interment church cemetery.
