An accomplished and talented pianist, loved hearing him play. He was an amazing musician and part of an amazing group. Heartfelt condolences to the Downie family, truly sorry for your loss, may God help you all to get through your time of sorrow.

Mr Downie and the iconic shots of him, (wearing the lime-green cheesecloth dashiki and drenched in sweat (Live at the Lyceum) which were my first introduction to him, even before the music will remain forever in ny memory. A truly gifted keyboardist who added that extra finesse to the music of his band leader & the Wailers. Rest in Peace!
