To Dick's Family,
I would like to convey Jan's and my sincere condolences on Dick's recent passing. Though I haven't seen Dick for over 45 years, I have often thought of him. He occupied the senior room off of my study room at the Phi Delt house at the U of I when I was a freshman. He was house president and was admired by everyone for his leadership and frank sense of humor. That he led such a successful life was quite predictable.

Dick was an exceptional teammate at the University of Illinois. He had uniformly high standards and an unequalled work ethic. He will be missed.

Barbra, Scott and family,
I have great memories with Dick that go all the way back to West Elementary, Simonsen Junior High and Jeff City High where we played football and ran high and low hurdles together. We served in the USAF at same time and both were at Scott AFB at same time - early to mid 80's timeframe - and when he had Reserve weekend duties we would frequently meet for lunch. We only ran into each other a few times after his appointment to the bench. However, I will treasure my...

It was an honor to have practiced before him. Bob Selsor, St. Louis
