Send FlowersSHELBY - Mrs. Judy Claire Thornton, 59, of 904 Lake Drive, died on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at home.
A native of Franklin County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Francis Victor Thornton and Charlene Charllie Fuller. She was employed as a bartender for Fatz Restaurant. She enjoyed crafting and was noted for her beautiful Christmas decorations. Mrs. Thornton was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by family, friends, customers and co-workers at Fatz.
Mrs. Thornton is survived by her sister Vickie Buskill husband Charles of Shelby; three nieces, Katie and Amy Buskill of Shelby, Amanda Buskill of Atlanta, Ga.; and two great-nephews, Michael Buskill and Ronnie Teague of Shelby.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday at Cecil M Burton Funeral Home and Crematory
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Cleveland County, 1609 East Marion St., Shelby NC 28150 or Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28150.
