Not sure what to say?

I actually worked on his car at Meineke in 94-95. We chatted at the shop, really nice guy. Such a smooth, silky voice. Days later, I called the station and said I was the guy whi worked on your car, can you please play Surfin' Bird? No lie, the next song he played was Surfin' Bird, and said "this is for my friend Lee at Meineke'

I live in Georgia and we could pick up WBT on the car radio on Sunday nights, that's how I remember Rockin Ray and the Sunday Night Hall of Fame, because my mom knew all the songs from her teenage years.

i use to listen to the sunday night show really enjoyed it he would always close the shoe with goodnight sweetheart by the spaniels great memories

Thank you for the memories , I was 5 years old and my parents would get me and my sister in the car on Sunday evenings and go to McDonalds at Kmart at North Tryon and Sugar Creek Rd , we woukd listen to Sunday Night Hall of Fame with Rockin Ray and drink a milk shake from McDonalds. Thank Ray for the unbelievable memories being born and raised in Charlotte now residing in Fort Myers Florida . Please Rest In Peace .

I was saddened to learn of Rockin' Ray's passing, I don't recall ever missing a Sunday night listening to his show all through my 70's high school years.

Rest forever Ray, in Rock and Roll Heaven........you were the best!

Congratulations to Rockin Ray on your selection into WBT radio Hall of Fame

Like many others my wife began to love oldies by listening to Rockin Ray on Sunday nights in the 70s. Because of Ray it has enriched her life ever since.

I was thinking back to when and how long I worked on the graveyard shift and listened to Rockin Ray every Sunday night going to work. Mr. Gooding will never know how much he helped me go to a job I hated. RIP Rockin Ray, you were the BEST! <3
