I worked with Uriel in the BFA for years, and my interactions with him were always pleasant. I was alway impressed with his optimism and dedication to duty. He was a great man, and a good friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Uriel when he took on undergraduate research partners through the SURE and UROP programs at CU. He was kind, supportive, and friendly to his students and they thought highly of him, as did I. I'm both surprised and sad to hear of his passing and I offer my sincere condolences to his loved ones.
