I was lucky enough to have tea with Ursula and hear her story of survival in her skokie home. She was a strong , tough woman who inspired me! Thanks for teaching me to dance through life even when it´s terribly difficult.

In fifth grade, I read a book. This book contained many stories of children from the holocaust. Ursula and her brother George were in there. I absolutely fell in love with both of them. Now I am in eighth grade and we are doing a unit on the holocaust. I remembered the book I read in fifth grade. I started researching and found out she had passed away in 2019. I am writing this because I feel Ursula and George's story should be told. Just like every other holocaust story.

My sincerest condolences to the family. I have seen Ursula's testimony on the Shoah; she was an amazing woman who showed only kindness after all she lived through. May she Rest In Peace.

Decades ago I was interviewed by Ursula in her preparation for writing her book about Dorothy Becker, my boss during my teen age years at Mandel Brothers. Ursula sent me her finished book, and I have always been most appreciative of her kindness. Several years ago I called her, and I was once again able to express my gratitude to her. My sincere sympathy to her family.

Bernie and I are so sorry to learn of Ursula's death. She's someone I've known for decades and with whom I shared many interests, including gardening with beautiful native flowers and shrubs, Judaism and traveling. Ursula was a rare and remarkable individual. I will miss her. Charlotte Adelman and Bernie Schwartz
