Timothy Aemilius Austin III, 58, a native of Fort Worth, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at a Houston medical center.
Homegoing service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 2951 Evans Ave., Fort Worth. Wake: 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Baker Funeral Home in Fort Worth with visitation from 1 to 8 p.m.
Born Sept. 7, 1950, he graduated from Dunbar High School in 1969 where he was the star quarterback and attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully. After relocating to Houston, he served as a trustee to Bonita Street House of Hope in Houston, where he volunteered diligently.
He was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Austin Jr.; mother, Joyce Austin; sister, Myra Austin; and devoted aunt, Marion Childress.
Survivors: He is forever cherished in memory by his loving daughter, Trezcher Austin of Fort Worth; beautiful grandchildren, Halee, Chandler and Nia; his sister, Cynthia White (James) of Florida; nieces; nephews; extended-family members; and a host of friends.
