Valent J. Rumancik

He must have been a good looking guy as a young man and a pretty good person. My parents were classmates of Valent’s. I have a 1945 school annual that was either my mother’s (Patty Rizer, Freshman) or my father’s (Ralph Curtis, sophomore) in 1945. Every time Valent’s name or picture appeared in the book, his name is underlined or a checkmark in by his picture. I wouldn’t think my Dad would do this, so I think my Mom had a crush on

Mr. Rumancik was my 6th grade teacher at Dry Tavern grade school. He was one of my favorite teachers. I ran into him in 1979 and spoke with him for a short time. I really enjoyed seeing him after so many years. RIP Mr. Rumancik!

Mr. Rumancik was one of my favorite teachers at Dry Tavern Elementary School. Many good memories of him. My sympathy to the family.

Mr Rumancik was my first male teacher. He influenced me to become an elementary teacher and a principal of middle and elementary schools. Thanks Mr Rumancik...my 30 years in education went fast. Hopefully I had his positive influence on other students.
