May the Lord continue to watch over you (Gwen, Tony). Know that He is God Almighty and never makes a mistake, but rest assure that Val is resting in the bosom of God Almighty. As family friends are passed down from generations, Val, my parents (Delores and Ira Evans) and the late Mrs. Defories Holt (all of Brenham, TX) were High School graduates and were very close friends. My mother was an exceptional human being. She taught me more things by example than words. She was strong, independent, loving,level-headed,tender and wise. She will forever be in my heart and mind and I am going to try to be the same kind of mother,grandmother and someday great-grandmother she was. God bless.
