Val would light up a room with her presence. Always gracious, helpful and positive. She and I had many conversations over the years while at the Oregonian and I liked her a lot. She was also really funny and loved to laugh. RIP dear Val.

Val and I worked together at The O for many years. She was a good friend, workout buddy, and someone who always had a positive attitude in life. She left us way too soon, but will not be forgotten. My sincere condolences to Val’s family.
