I was so sorry to learn only recently of Valerie's passing. Valerie and I were close friends since our pre-school days in Long Branch, NJ. When we were about 5 years old, I gave her bangs a hair cut & inspired the ire of both our Moms. We both lived in New York City while pursuing our higher education. Val used my apartment for a quiet place to study one summer while I was the art counselor at a NY state sleep-away camp for teens. And, we supported one another through the pre-mature...

It was a pleasure to know Valerie & do her hair for the last few years. We shared stories and memories that won´t be forgotten...we all send our condolences...Ellisburg Hair Cuttery

So sorry for your loss. Valerie was a kind and thoughtful person. She loved you girls dearly. She will be missed.

I first saw Valerie in the office at Adath Emanuel when I would drop off Jewish Film Festival brochures. She had a beautiful, welcoming smile. I also knew Valerie through volunteer activities at JFCS. She was always hopeful, optimistic and pleasant, no matter how difficult things had become for her. I will truly miss this gentle soul.
