I considered Val my best friend in high school at ESM after moving to East Syracuse from PA. She was the first person to befriend me. I remember hanging out at her family home and was in awe of all the constant activity within the home with all her siblings, parents and cats, coming and going. My prayers to Valerie's entire family and friends. I first met Val at age 8, lost contact after school and our lives went in different directions. 50 years later we reconnected and it was as if we were still those 8 and 9 year old girls, giggling about old times and laughing and crying about the new. I will cherish our friendship forever. Rest in peace my sweet friend.
