Valinda was a precious friend. She was probably the spunkiest senior that I have ever met. I worked with her at Wal-Mart for more than 9 years. I continued to see her there until her illness. I was afraid that the hip injury would make her unable to work anymore, but it didn't get her down for long. The last time that I saw her we were at KFC on Tuesday a few weeks ago.
