To the family of a dedicated firefighter and a person ready to help. His jokes will be sorely missed. I know he is in heaven instructing God and St. Florian to keep all firefighters safe. A good man.

I first met Val as a recruit firefighter and was so impressed by his quiet strength, depth of wisdom and humor.Throughout my 32 year career Val was a constant source of warmth and guidance. The Fire Service has lost one of its' true leaders and will be hard pressed to find another willing to give as much as he did.
