Van “Pete” Lamkin, 58, of Camden, AR, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, at The Blossoms of Newport Rehab and Nursing. He was born August 16, 1965, in Camden, AR. He was the son of Van G. Lamkin and Shirley Smith. He was a member of Westside Methodist Church and worked construction.
He is preceded in death by his father, Van G. Lamkin; son, Lance Lamkin; grandparents, Albert and Bama Lamkin and Bernest and Geraldine Sutterfield Ward.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Smith of Camden, AR; two sisters, Teresa Lampkin (Tommy Vaughan) and Melissa Pickett (Shane) both of Camden, AR; host of nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Monday, August 21, 2023, at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow in Bell Chapel Cemetery, Chidester, AR. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
