Not sure what to say?

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Ramsey's passing. He was such an energetic church music leader; I remember taking piano lessons from Mrs. Ramsey (since I could just walk around the corner from W. Graham to Thompson in Shelby). It was such a pleasure to have known Mr. Ramsey and the entire family. Sending prayers to all of you as you mourn his passing yet celebrate his life and keep treasured memories as comfort. Blessings to you all...

Jane, Mark, Lynne, Paige and Chris: There's no way to possibly express the impact your husband, Jane, and father kids, had on my life. When y'all first came to Shelby, it was the late 60's right? I was very young, but the greatness of Mr. Ramsey was felt immediately by me and everyone at First Baptist Shelby. Here was a passionate man, about his faith, his family and his music! He was tough! He didn't put up with any dawdling or lollygagging! I've never felt more confident in my own musical...

Jane, Mark, Lynne, Paige and Chris ... love to you all. You'll never know what an effect Van and all of you have had. Peace.

Jane, Chris and family, Debbie and I are sad to hear of your loss. We and our family were blessed by Brother Van's ministry at 1st Baptist in St. Charles. We are praying for you.

Jane and Family, our prayers are with you. We made some great music together many years ago. Van was responsible for my initial introduction to public singing and I have been blessed to share my music with others for the past 40+ years because of his interest in me. God Bless the Ramsey Family.

Dear Jane, Mark and Chris, I am so saddened to hear about Van's passing. He was a wonderful influence on me during my teenage years in the choir at First Baptist Church, Shelby, NC. I have thought of you all many times over the years and inquired as to how everyone was. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Van was a great mentor, collaborator and friend during our music ministry season at First Assembly in St. Charles, MO. Amazing how he also moved to Harvest (where I grew up, and even attended Whitesburg Baptist for a while).

God's deep peace and bountiful blessings to you all.

Sincerely,
Jerry and Randi Skaggs

Van had a profound influence on me as a person, but also in my grasp of the value of music as a conduit into the presence of God. As a teen in Shelby, I learned so much from him. I thank God for him in my life and will hold all the family in my prayers. God bless.

May God bless you. I am sorry for your loss but know Van is in a better place.
Blessings to all of you.
