my sincere condolences to the family , I met van when he was common councilor at-large , he helped me get a job at the city all.

Linda and Family. My sincere condolences for the passing of your husband.I know you will keep his dreams alive. We shared many memories working together in the Purchasing Department at City Hall.

Van was always a model and mentor to me. One of my most vivid memories when I met with hime and two other leaders and Van clearly explained how the "Say Yes" program was not necessarily a gift to young students of color and how it might actually be a gift to white families who would rush back to our city schools. The results am not sure of but I know many students, including two of mine, who benifitted greatly from the program. They were from many, many different ethnicities. Van's point...
