Dear Billie,
We were so very saddened to hear of Van's passing. How we were blessed to have him in our lives while we were associated with Morgan's Drug. Van was a kind, loving man and a true gentleman.
We had so much fun at the store and those memories of Van will forever remain in our hearts. Let me say that it was a true honor to have known him. We loved him like family. Be comforted in knowing that this separation is only temporary because we will all one day be reunited. ...

I remember Mr. Smith as a "Doer of the Word" in my former Gazette-Journal weekly column. What a great man with a wonderful life story. He was an inspiration to others.
