ROBINSON, Vanessa Poole, of Chesterfield, departed this life March 20, 2013 at her residence. She was born November 6, 1959 to the late Harrison and Thelma Poole. Early in life she accepted Christ and joined the Swansboro Baptist Church. She loved to sing praises to the Lord and for many years was a faithful member of the Ensemble Choir, she was a doll collector and loved her new car. Vanessa leaves precious and cherished memories, with her son, Keyron; two brothers, Jimmy and Lorenzo; two sisters, Delores and Pamela; three aunts, Annie Hill, Irene Taylor (Thomas) and Virginia McGhee; a devoted friend of 30 years, Byrd; and a childhood friend, Boyd; all of her friends were special and too many to name. Remains rest at the Carlton T. Brooks Funeral Home, 2200 Hull Street, and where funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28, at 12 p.m. Rev. Shamara Haynes officiating. Interment Maury Cemetery. Family and friends attending services assemble at the funeral home Thursday, March 28, at 11:30 a.m.

I think of you very often and I miss you so much. Not only were we co-workers but we were very close friends one of dearest person Ive ever met rest in Paradise my sister always love you.

It seems like just a dream the day God called you home. I have so many memories of all you have taught me that have helped so much in my life. I'm thankful to have met someone as special & kind as you. I'm thankful my son was able to meet such an amazing woman. I'm also thankful that you are saved & are now looking down smiling at all your loved ones. You will forever & always be in my heart & I love you with everything that I am. Until we meet again. It's God, grace & mercy. The days has truly passed & for me not to be able to sit down with you; laugh & joke. Once again it hurts but I can't be sad nor weep because I know you are lighting star & singing up in heaven for all God's people. Glory to his name. Luv you sister. You will be in our hearts forever more. Blessings!
