Funeral service for Vannie Lee Malone Jr., of Athens, Alabama will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Homer L. Moses Memorial Chapel of Peoples Funeral Home with Brother Timmy Smith officiating. The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time. Interment and committal will be at the Thatch Mann cemetery.
On Friday, March 6, 2026, public viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Peoples Funeral Home.
