Vashu Thakur passed away in New Orleans, Louisiana. The obituary was featured in The Times-Picayune on April 25, 2023.
I recently became aware of Dr. Thakur´s untimely passing. I completed my Nephrology fellowship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans under the guidance of Dr. Thakur in 1994. He was a brilliant Nephrologist,consummate professional, and great mentor. The medical profession has lost a giant in Nephrology.
