My parents chose Sabita to watch me when I was a baby because when my mom went to interview her, she held her arms out to me and said "I love babies!" She loved my brothers and I like we were her own. I will never forget my early childhood years spent in her house. I learned about Hinduism, and ate Indian food. When I was school-aged we moved and I started Kindergarten, but our family remained close with hers and to this day our love of Indian food remains! RIP Sabita. We will miss you.

Sabita was like a grandmother to my siblings and I. She watched my sister and I while my parents worked. She taught us about family and we learned the common threads that connect us all as human beings. Sabita spoke a different language than us (at first), was from a culture completely foreign to us, and practiced a different religion, and she loved us like her own children.
