Vaughn Makary

Vaughn was a respected client, business associate and friend and his loss is devastating to his family, friends, and the steel industry. We talked frequently about Tudor´s bid for Michigan governor, and I know how proud he would be to see how far she has progressed in the race. Our prayers continue for Tudor and her family.

This is a big loss. I´m sorry that I just now learned of Vaughn´s passing. Vaughn was an extremely important mentor to me early in my career. Was he perfect, no, but he had a long list of really differentiating strengths and a willingness to help others. I haven´t worked with him in over twenty years, but the lessons he shared and observing him in action still benefit me (and as a result, my family) to this day. Vaughn was a fraternity brother and roommate for 2 yrs at Grove City College. One of a handful of true close friends in life. He was smart, outgoing, a very good athlete (not just in golf)..........a solid guy with great values. I am not surprised in how successful he had become in his professional life, as well as his family/personal life. I regret having not kept in touch over all the yrs, as we pursued different career paths and the distance that sometimes creates. What I wouldn't give...
